This lamp is plays with the yuxtaposition of symbolim and literalism. In most of Mesoamerican and global ancient civilizations, the pyramids were built mirroring the mountains as a way to reach and connect with their pantheons. The Piramide Lamp explores the literal and the symbolical representations of a mountain and it’s metaphisical meaning, a silhouette of a pyramid floats in a void made of hand cast aluminum over a more literal representation of a mountain made from a hand picked volcanic rock that is naturaly shaped as a mountain peak.
